My name is Alessandra Operamolla, and I am an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Pisa, Italy.
My research interests span from the synthesis of multifunctional organic materials, self-assembling and self-assembled monolayers of thiols on gold, functionalization of bio-macromolecules.
I lead a new research on nanocrystalline cellulose, an exciting topic for its multipurpose applications. Relying on my chemical background, I study chemical functionalization of nanocrystals to produce new interesting smart bioarchitectures.
